Welcome to Ask Dr. Lamberts. Following are answers to questions
I am frequently asked. If you are curious about something I havent
covered here, please be sure to inquire about it when you call or visit
the office. We believe your comfort starts with a thorough understanding
of your condition and treatment options.
Q: What is a periodontist?
A: A periodontist is a dentist with three additional years of training in
the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and placement
of tooth implants. I also have 10 years of periodontal plastic surgery
experience to produce cosmetically superior results.
Q: Is treatment expensive?
A: Cascade Periodontics has made a conscious effort to competitively
price services so they may be available to as many people as possible.
Our pricing structure, combined with generous treatment times provides
a tremendous value. Pricing depends on the extent of your needs.
We will be happy to provide you with a thorough estimate and then
work with you to finance treatment and/or submit information to your
insurance company.
Q: I had a traumatic experience at another dentist office and am afraid
to get the care I need. Things have gotten so bad that I know I have to do
something, how will you be different?
A: Even if you had a bad experience elsewhere, you wont have one
here. I see many patients in your situation. One reason they are in
desperate need is because they have put off treatment due to fear.
I want you to know that it is very important to me for you to feel safe
and pain free before, during and after any procedure you have done
here. It is possible to painlessly treat patients, it requires patience,
knowledge and taking the time to do things at a slower gentle pace.
I do this each and every time.
Q: I had an implant that failed before, does that mean that I will
need a bridge?
A: Because of new treatments that allow us to grow new bone and soft
tissue you may be able to have a successful implant, even if there was
a problem before. You owe it to yourself to come in and be examined,
well give you a thorough assessment and evaluate if we think you
have a good chance at a successful new implant.
Q: What steps are taken at your office for sanitation and disease control?
A: First of all, we stringently follow the strictest government guidelines for sanitation. We also go a step further and only use distilled water produced
from our in house distillation unit.
Q: Will my dentist be involved with my treatment?
A: We encourage treatment coordination with your dentist and have
many resources to make communication effective. We will contact your
dentist to discuss your case in depth and provide records in a timely
manner along with the treatment plan. Our digital imaging system
allows for high tech information sharing with any dental office, it will be
used to give your dentist an excellent in depth visual reference for each
stage of your treatment.
Q: Do I need a referral to get an appointment for treatments at
Cascade Periodontics?
A: No referral is necessary, anyone may call our office and be seen.
Many of our patients are referrals from dentists, but we also see patients
who need a dentist.
