Dental implants are an excellent and permanent solution to tooth loss
for most people who are in good health. They look and feel like normal
teeth, help preserve bone density, don’t rely on surrounding teeth for
support, and allow for normal flossing.

An implant is an artificial titanium fixture that is surgically placed into
the jaw as substitute for the missing tooth’s root. This fixture bonds to
the living bone tissue, and is concealed by gum tissue and a new tooth
which is created to match your surrounding teeth. The procedure is
painless and performed with local anesthetic.

Successful implantation requires enough jawbone density. In cases
where more bone is needed, ridge augmentation is performed first.
In addition to a functional result, Dr. Lamberts evaluates and considers
all aspects of the treatment to make sure he can also deliver the best
soft tissue esthetic result.

Dr. Lamberts takes an extra step in cases where he extracts the tooth
prior to an implant. He prepares the aesthetic soft tissue zone with an
egg shaped form that nests in the implant area like the final crown.
This technique optimizes the chances for normal appearing gum tissue
between the teeth. Without this procedure, it is common for there to
be a black triangle caused by a void between the teeth.

Dr. Lamberts has a very high success rate with implant placement due
to his meticulous attention to detail, focus on gum tissue treatment and
regeneration, and plastic surgery emphasis.

He will work as a team with your dentist to ensure your total treatment
plan is considered and your dentist has complete information regarding
the progress of the implant procedure.
